This is a demo of the 5.03 firmware running the tiff exploit and booting into a HEN environment on a PSP 2003 (3000 Support also) on 5.03 Official Firmware. This proves that the code survives a reboot and the system software and MAC address can be changed. This is something that only can be done with a kernel exploit. A video launching homebrew will be posted later.

GeckoOS includes the latest version of the Region Free app, which works with the Homebrew Channel. The latest version has increased compatibility with more games supported and issues running US games on PAL consoles fixed.
Note that while GeckoOS will enable the US Rock Band to load on a non-US console the guitars and drum set will not work (no controller ID lights lit). To load Rock Band try Menu Loader instead.

Remember that the game is not limited to these cards, and you can download user-created sets on the forums!
There seems to be a slew of similar questions in the official Tiff Discussion thread that are either being missed, or are being repeated over and over again. I figured it might be a good idea for a one stop thread where you can pretty much get all of the info you need. The purpose of this thread is to provide an array of questions and simple answers - an ultimate FAQ.
If you have any further tiff/HEN questions that need answering, you can direct them here, Tiff Exploit - HEN Information - M for Mature Forums
The Homebrew Channel is a self-updating homebrew application loader by Team Twiizers which allows users to load homebrew applications without having to run the Twilight Hack every time. Once installed, users can access the channel from the Wii Menu just like any other Wii channel. It can launch homebrew applications from an SD or SDHC card or via TCP/USB Gecko using Wiiload. The installer is compatible with the 23 Oct Updates, though not with System Menu 4.0. This means that if you have an old version of the Homebrew Channel and you update to 4.0, you will not be able to update HBC untill a new installer is made. System Menu 4.0 will not, however, remove the Homebrew Channel if it is installed before updating. All you need to do is go down from the links provided and Download the Wii loaders you need (e.g. The Homebrew Channel, LoadMii) but Before that, you'll need Some Wii exploits (The Twilight Hack if you are under firmware 4.0 and Bannerbomb exploit if you're on firmware 4.0 or does'nt have Zelda Twilight Princess as it is a requisite with the Twilight Hack Exploit).
As we saw yesterday, this new ofw has been finally released, with those subfolders and some fixes that were expected, to be honest.
You can download it directly here , as always.
Between those fixes it’s the recent TIFF exploit that was found and that it’s still under development, and it seems that there are also some bugs, like one that literally f***s the standby.
What do you think about those “new features”? Have you got any bugs like those or can confirm the standby one?
Edit: Seems like this new update has the encryption tables changed (at least the 1g one), as it can’t be decrypted with latest psardumper. Anyway, won’t be probably a problem.
The firmware update will introduce an Information Board on the PSP system’s XMB (XrossMediaBar) interface. Those of you who have a PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) may be familiar with this feature, which displays news and updates from the world of PlayStation in a scrolling ticker in the upper right-hand corner of your TV screen. Now you’ll be able to read up-to-date information about upcoming games, new content available on PlayStation Store, and other news right on your PSP whenever you’re at a wireless Internet hotspot.
In addition, we’ll be adding a few more enhancements with the 5.50 update:
- Memory Stick improvements – You’ll be able to create and access sub-folders on your Memory Stick PRO Duo for music, videos and photos. Separately, the available space required to download a file from PlayStation Store to your Memory Stick has been reduced significantly.
- Internet search for games directly from the XMB – You’ll be able to easily search the Internet for information about your PSP games. Select the icon for the game, hit the Triangle button, and then select [Internet Search] from the options menu to get search results based on the game title. This feature was added to PS3 with the recent 2.70 update.
- Trend Micro trial – PSP’s Internet browser is a great tool for checking out your favorite Web sites on the go, and we’re teaming up with the Internet security experts at Trend Micro to make the Web browsing experience safer and more secure. With the 5.50 update, you’ll have the option to access a free trial of two Trend Micro services:
Trend Micro Web Security uses Web reputation technology to block PSP owners from accidentally visiting a Web site that may contain malicious content designed to steal personal information and confidential data.
Trend Micro Kids’ Safety uses URL filtering technology to prevent children from accessing Web sites that feature inappropriate content.
Well, sorry but it's not released yet but here are some information about it quoted from bushing of Team Twiizers
Yes, BootMii is still alive; I still can’t promise a release date, but most of the code has been written and we’re now to the point of testing it out and adding some polish. It’s been installed on about 12 Wiis so far and nobody’s been bricked; I hope that we can release a “public beta” within the next couple of weeks. (In this case, “public beta” will mean “we’ve tested this out quite a bit and are fairly confident that you won’t regret trying it, but not everything is finished and we can’t make too many promises). I would expect those of you who have older Wiis (i.e. those who have a vulnerable boot1) to have an easier time installing it, but we intend to eventually add support for as many of your Wiis as possible.
